The Director of Information Technology & Infrastructure

This is a newly created position, reporting to the PJCC CEO and responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing an information technology strategy that meets the Center’s mission and business-related needs, including overseeing an effective network infrastructure shared between two campus-based institutions – RWJDS and PJCC.

Position Summary –

The Director of Information Technology & Infrastructure will have responsibility for ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery planning as well as system security and data confidentiality. Develop and oversee IT networks, including telecommunications, database management and IT support. He/she will ensure the effective use of technology in support of business intelligence, marketing, communications and fund development. In addition to overseeing software applications, including the Salesforce CRM, the Director will identify, negotiate contracts and manage, as needed, the staff and/or vendors to support network management and end users.

Essential Responsibilities –

  • Determine, based on an independently conducted IT Assessment2, the most efficient and effective method for maintaining the day-to-day operations of a shared network and technology environment (PJCC and RWJDS).
  • Recommend and incorporate the use of outsourcing/co-sourcing with in-house resources to align technology deliverables to the best needs of the enterprise as a whole within financial constraints.
  • Develop and manage a high performing IT operation ensuring that appropriate systems, security, processes, risk management and governance structures are in place.
  • Supervise and recommend improvements to the shared network and technology environment.
  • Ensure that technical systems, documentation, policies, procedures and practices are effective and well aligned with needs and desired outcomes.
  • Manage the adoption and delivery of appropriate technology innovation to support strategic priorities, working with agency leaders to enable effective implementation.
  • Ensure the usability of information and technology to improve PJCC program, operations and business processes that contribute to both its social and business value propositions.
  • Position IT department as a trusted partner across the organization.
  • Lead the development of a vision for optimizing the use of technology to meet business and mission-minded objectives.
  • Develop and manage a high performing IT operation ensuring that appropriate systems, security, processes, risk management and governance structures are in place.

Qualifications

k) Demonstrated success (3-5 years) managing staff and/or vendors.

l) Experience managing and consolidating physical servers/infrastructure.

m) Experience with enterprise level Salesforce and Salesforce integration with 3rd party tools.

n) Bachelor of Science in Technology or demonstrated equivalent field (workplace) experience.

o) Experience tracking customer satisfaction scores on IT services to business units and customers.

Desired Skills & Qualifications –

a) Experience working with health & fitness technology and/or nonprofit and/or educational organizations.

b) Track record of executing a cloud-first strategy.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment –

  • Generally work in standard office conditions and climate.
  • Available on-site or remotely evenings and weekends in case of urgent or emergency technology failures.
  • Noise level is low to moderate and occasionally high.
  • Regular requirements to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit and use hands for fine manipulation to handle reach with hands and arms and use a keyboard and video display terminal.
  • Occasional requirements to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

 

Graphics Studio Manager

The Graphics Studio Manager will help lead the vision and execution of the agency’s visual voice, articulating our mission and values across digital and traditional marketing channels. This role is responsible for leading the graphics team in creation and production of communications that enable our members, guests, and staff to have meaningful and WOW experiences at the PJCC. This includes brainstorming, conceptualizing, designing and producing on-brand visuals, contributing to the overall agency’s creative strategy. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic to work for a community, mission driven non-profit who can see the results of their efforts daily. Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize the workload effectively, as well as demonstrate the ability to work under pressure without compromising creativity or accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead design team and freelancers to encourage a high vision of design.
• Lead by example through hands-on design production.
• Design and produce graphic communications for various projects and initiatives including but not limited to web, social media, online and mobile ads both static and animated, e-mail, magazines, large-scale signage and visuals, brochures, invitations, direct mail, flyers, and more.
• Evaluate creative content and copy, ensuring information and message are on-target and consistent with the marketing direction and objectives. Ability to edit copy as needed to enhance effectiveness and meet business objectives.
• Evaluate finished products for color consistency, photo appropriateness and quality, print and digital quality, content value, and suggest improvements as needed.
• Conceptualize creative and cost-effective graphic design solutions for a variety of promotional and marketing campaigns.
• Advanced understanding of typography, color usage, branding, photo styling and selection, and design style usage.
• Apply and advance established brand identity and related creative directions, ensuring consistency with brand positioning and marketing messages across multiple channels.
• Complete a recent rebranding initiative and develop comprehensive design style guide for design continuity across all channels – used internally and by external service providers.
• Role model and support staff to work efficiently, effectively and independently to complete assignments in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing tasks and demands, tight deadlines, unexpected delays, revisions, ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
• Work collaboratively with agency staff members/teams to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere, and maintain collaboratively professional working relationships with clients, vendors, and networks.
• Leadership includes role modeling and managing all aspects of studio work, including production, production management, client management, and asset management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will supervise a small team of graphic designers. Responsibilities include management of project queue ensuring all deadlines are well met, project specs, asset management, trafficking, managing staff resources, leading client relationships and ensuring satisfaction, and managing project budgets.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related area.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in graphic design (must provide a portfolio link showing breadth of work).
• 4+years of experience leading creative teams.

DESIRED SKILLS:
• A love for empowering leadership that balances production with individual growth and fulfillment.
• A passion for design and technology, with an eye for and focus on details.
• Strong knowledge of brand and creative processes and digital best practices in design and communication.
• Expert skills on Mac Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Lightroom.
• Familiarity with WordPress and basic HTML & CSS knowledge is a plus.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word Based programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
• Expert knowledge of digital design principles.
• Expertise creating digital ads, both static and interactive (video or animation)
• Expertise with animated or motion graphics for in-house video production and use of Premier, After Effects and Finalcut Pro.
• Expertise creating web graphics and beautiful online experiences
• Familiarity with UX/UI design
• Excellent time and project management skills and ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects and people simultaneously.
• Organization and detail management are critical to success.
• Thorough knowledge of pre-press processes and print production.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: able to take and give direction and to ask illuminating questions in order to get the job done very well and on time.

Preschool Camp and Family Program Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Preschool Camp and Family Program Manager is primarily responsible for leadership and coordination of the smooth and successful operations of the Preschool summer and seasonal camps, Baby & Me programs, and preschool enrichments. Working collaboratively with other Preschool administrators, this position supports the school in functioning effectively and successfully. Inspire and lead in an innovative way, adapting to the characteristics and varying needs of individuals and situations. Provide oversight of the camp, Baby & Me, and enrichment programs, paying close attention to the details of budgeting, staffing, training, scheduling, and marketing. Ensure that Jewish traditions, ideas and values are seamlessly integrated into everyday experiences. Lead in a reflective manner that demonstrates the core values of the school and the PJCC.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership

  • Inspire, lead and work collaboratively to ensure that best practices are evident in all camp programming.
  • Design and implement camp programs that reflect school values and teaching philosophy.
  • Develop vision for what Baby & Me programming (serving children ages 0 – 5 and their families) should look like, recognizing that it is a critical entry point for new families into the school and the PJCC.
  • Ensure an environment of reflective practices and processes.
  • Think systemically about the unique parts of the school in relationship to the whole program, seeing the connections and maximizing opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and engage in collaborative conversations that advance the vision of the school and PJCC.

Professional Development of Self and Others

  • Work collaboratively with preschool administrative team to develop and implement Professional Development (PD) plans and training for summer camp program.
  • Welcome feedback and new ideas, keeping supervisor well informed, taking initiative to plan and following through with direction.
  • Integrate new concepts and ideas into everyday practices.
  • Identify areas for professional growth and engage in opportunities that expands knowledge and expertise.

Supervision/Management of Camp Staff

  • Hire and directly supervise camp staff, enrichment teachers and 0-5 program staff.
  • Work in partnership with ECE administrative team to provide consistent feedback to supervisees, as well as evaluate and document performance.
  • Provide daily oversight of the camp and enrichment schedules, ensuring that ratios are maintained throughout the day.
  • Responsible for managing all sick and vacation requests and ensuring compliance with designated policies in this area.
  • Work with administrative team to ensure that agency policies are followed and hold staff accountable for meeting performance expectations.
  • Ensure that all performance documentation takes place in a timely and accurate manner and is kept in personnel files in the HR department.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Interview, screen and hire all camp, enrichment and program staff.
  • Provide a comprehensive orientation for new camp staff
  • Work with PJCC marketing department to develop marketing plan and materials for all camp, Baby & Me and enrichment programs.
  • Manage all aspects of preschool camps, enrichments, and Baby & Me programs.
  • Represent PJCC Preschool at all relevant PJCC and community events that help bring visibility to preschool camps and Baby & Me programs.
  • Manage all aspects of vendor contracts for enrichments
  • Collaboration
  • Work in partnership with preschool administrative team to ensure that consistent and direct communication takes place with parents and camp staff.
  • Partner with administrative team to ensure there is a system in which regular learning about Jewish ideas, concepts and values take place and support seamless implementation in the camp and relevant programs.
  • Work in partnership with administrative team in making staff placements for camps.
  • Work in partnership with the Youth & Family Department ensuring programs are in concert and growing enrollment in all areas.

Other

  • Complete work assignments as expected, on time, and maintaining positive demeanor.
  • Serve as a member of the PJCC, Youth & Family, Camp and ECE Teams in ongoing collaborative opportunities.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • ECE knowledge and three years of experience working with families and young children
  • Supervisory experience necessary
  • California Community Care Licensing knowledge Health Requirements
  • Must be in good health and shall be physically and mentally capable of performing the assigned tasks
  • Per California State Licensing requirement, must be in good physical health which shall be verified by a health screening, including a test for tuberculosis, performed by or under the supervision of a physician and indicating the person is able to meet any physical qualifications necessary to perform the assigned duties. Also required is the reporting of any health condition that would create a hazard to the person, or to the children and/or other staff members at the Center.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a child weighing up to 50 pounds away from a potentially dangerous situation during an emergency that may/may not include an evacuation.
  • Must have the ability to act quickly and appropriately in hazardous situations and to provide first aid in emergency situations.
  • Must have current First Aid and CPR Certification, or be willing to become certified.

Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday with weekend and night events, as required
