Byer Athletic Center Closure Dates 2015

September 13: Early 5:00 pm closure for Erev Rosh Hashanah

Byer Athletic Center Facility Upgrades and Special Schedules
During the Jewish New Year, PJCC performs annual facility upgrades and maintenance to enhance your Center experience.
This year, new flooring in Fitness East, and new carpeting in the men’s and women’s locker rooms and the BAC hallway, are notable upgrades members will enjoy.

Hours and Closures

September 13: Early 5:00 pm closure for Erev Rosh Hashanah

Temporary Facility Changes

September 14 – 23: Fitness East Closed for Installation of New Flooring
Fitness West, Pilates, yoga, group exercise classes, indoor cycling (moved to the gym) and aquatics will maintain their
normal schedules.

September 17 – 23: Dan Cook Gymnasium

  • Court 1 will have some cardio and weight equipment for member use.
  • Court 2 will be available per the gym schedule
  • Limited elevator access to gymnasium (where temporary fitness equipment will be located, see below). Please call the Welcome Center 650.378.2703 to determine access availability.

Fitness East is closing for installation of new flooring. The most popular fitness equipment is temporarily relocating so you can continue to enjoy a well-rounded workout.

HITT (High Intensity Team Training) • Meet in Lobby
Workout outdoors in the great fall weather in this challenging full-body workout. Chris Luera will put you through drills
that will strengthen and shape your body. Maximum number of participants is 20, so sign up soon!

TRX Suspension Training • Group Ex Studio
Take part in this revolutionary method of leveraging your body weight to safely perform exercises building power,
strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Maximum number of participants is 16, so register today!

Circuit Training • Group Ex Studio
Come get a full body workout! You will do a combination of muscular endurance, cardio, speed and agility drills at
different stations around the group exercise studio. This class is for ages 13 and older and can be modified for all levels.
Maximum number of participants is 20, so sign up soon!

Upgrades and Amenities

  • New sports flooring in Fitness East with outstanding shock and sound absorption
  • New carpeting in the men’s, women’s and family locker rooms, and Byer Athletic Center hallway
  • Painting in selected areas throughout building
  • Maintenance including pressure wash pool deck, clean lights and ductwork, replace lobby ceiling light bulbs, annual fire alarm and elevator testing, and more
