We Need to Do More

Last year’s successful Fund-a-Need campaign gave us the ability to fund a much needed developmental consultant on a part-time basis. While hours have been limited to eight per week, our developmental consultant has already made a profound and meaningful impact on many of our children, teachers and community. But we need to do more! Thanks to our part-time consultant, our teachers are now learning the skills and tools to create optimal learning environments, adapt to children’s unique learning styles and help each child grow to his or her fullest potential. But we need to do more!

Our consultant’s impact on our community has been overwhelming. As a result of support for teachers, parents and children, the PJCC is:

• Creating classroom environments that support all types and levels of learners
• Helping children meet developmental milestones
• Enhancing children’s social skills
• Supporting full participation in the classroom and school environment

The possibilities are endless, but funding is not. As a result, the reach of our developmental consultant is limited in scope. So we need to do more!
