Family Nature Walk
Meet new friends, experience nature through a Jewish lens, and enjoy time with your family! Join Deborah Newbrun, a noted Jewish environmental educator and former Summer Camp Director, on this family nature walk at Gray Whale Cove State Beach in Montara. Meet at the trailhead for an easy out-and-back journey offering scenic ocean views. Bring binoculars as we search for early migrating whales heading south to Baja. Pack snacks to enjoy at the picnic tables halfway into the hike.
This hike is good for children who can walk for an hour. Suggested ages: 4 years and up. Small children in backpack carriers are welcome. Bring layers (especially a wind breaker), sunscreen, water and snacks.
Celebrate Shabbat in a relaxed and playful, community atmosphere with music, creative prayer, movement, and more. Experience and connect with Shabbat in a brand new and energetic way guaranteed to nurture family bonds and build connections to Jewish life and values. For grownups and their little ones. Registration recommended. Instructors: Rachel Mylan and Nicole Francis of the PJCC Jewish Family Team.
