Take A (Spring) Break!

Campers will spend fun-filled days enjoying new experiences, making new friends and creating memories to last a lifetime! Each day offers an amazing array of stimulating and inspired activities, ranging from music, arts and crafts, to sports and science activities for all.

Preschool Day Camp

April 1 and 2, 2010

In observance of Passover, March 29 – April 5, we ask that your children not bring any food containing grain products (bread, cookies, crackers, etc.) to camp.

Our experienced and nurturing staff of early childhood professionals is eager to welcome your child to Spring Camp. Our theme for these two days will be “Freedom Camp,” and we will be learning the story of Passover and exploring its traditions through songs, food and hands-on activities. Campers will participate in P.E., enjoy music and movement, spring towards the sky in the Jump House and play on our shaded playground. Listening to stories in Joshua’s Corner ECE Library, children will be captivated and educated. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and memorable Spring Camp experience for your preschooler.

Artists and Athletes

What better way to expose your kids to the arts and sports than enrolling in this unique camp? They will enjoy half a day of art as well as half a day of sports. The art portion of the day will have campers produce exciting creations using different media. The sports portion of the day will allow campers to sample a wide variety of sports including basketball, indoor soccer, floor hockey, baseball, football and more.

Mad Science: Lights, Camera, Reaction

Picture yourself as Sir Isaac Newton as we discover how things move with science! Experiment with inertia and gravity as you learn what football players, ballet dancers and scientists have in common. Explore how equipment and movement work together to help you enjoy your favorite sports. Learn about photography and the movie making business as we examine how a camera works, how film captures light and stores images, how motion pictures got started, and how filmmakers make images move. Spend some time in the lab learning the tools and techniques that real chemists use, and perform some spectacular hands-on projects.
