We know that a safe, adventurous summer camp experience has the power to be transformative for your child. For more than 60 years, campers have experienced amazing, memorable and extraordinary summers at PJCC camps.

Camp Keff is irresistibly engaging with a curriculum that sparks imaginiation. We love each of our campers and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow, learn, and play. Our experienced staff focus on character building and the self-esteem of each camper. Camp Keff campers learn new talents, self-discovery, and how to make good choices while making friends along the way.

Signature Camps

Two-Week Sessions • 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Signature Camps are only available at Camp Keff! Campers splash in the pool while learning swimming techniques in our award-winning swim program. They score goals during sports, create masterpieces in art and experiment in science. Camp-wide Olympics, and Shabbat Fairs are so unique that no two sessions are alike. Add field trips, giant inflatables, nature hikes, sleepovers (with s’mores of course!), and your
camper will see why Camp Keff means “fun” in any language!

Basic swim instruction three times a week

  • Two-night wilderness camping trip at local campsites including Del Valle Regional Park.
  • Field trip each session to Bay Area destinations:
    Session 1: Chinatown/North Beach
    Session 2: Embarcadero/Ghiradelli Square
    Session 3: Exploratorium
    Session 4: Aqua Adventures

Plus, campers get to choose a specialty track to give them more time in the activities they are most interested in. If you come for more than one session you can try a different adventure or stick to your favorite! Campers are grouped by their track so they can enjoy the company of other kids with similar interests.

Mix And Match Camps

Mix and Match is a Camp Keff exclusive program – it’s two camps in one! Create a customized week of camp that meets your camper’s interests and needs. Choose one morning and one afternoon option each session.

Do you love to bake your cake and eat it, too? Learn what it takes to make a cake from scratch and decorate it with care, just like a pro! Build your own wild three layer creation in this week of crazy confections with a professional pastry chef.

NEW! Basketball • Morning
Shoot hoops and have fun while learning basic basketball skills and participating in age-appropriate games and exercises. Enjoy basketball in a non-competitive environment.

Gymnastics • Afternoon
Cartwheel down to Peninsula Gymnastics in San Mateo as campers learn basic skills using the trampoline, balance beam, kids’ bars, vault, and more. Develop body awareness, strength, conditioning, and self-esteem in a safe environment.

NEW! Architecture Using LEGO • Afternoon
Explore great works of art and architecture through LEGO!
Collaborate in small groups to build grand structures such as the Parthenon in Greece, the tree houses of Papua New Guinea, and New York’s Empire State Building. Follow in the footsteps of master artists with LEGO interpretations of sculptures, mosaics,
and stained glass.

Gardening • Morning
Get your hands dirty and discover the joys and rewards of gardening! Plant flowers, vegetables, and herbs in the PJCC’s Justice Garden and in customized containers to take home. Learn the process of getting food from the farm to your home and become a part of our PJCC social justice initiative.

NEW! Action Flix • Afternoon
POW! BANG! BOOM! In this live-action movie making camp, use a green screen combined with camera tricks and special effects to create your own action movie. Aspiring directors and actors will collaborate with each other to write, act, and direct in this action packed camp.

NEW! Memories Made • Afternoon
Make your memories last for a lifetime as you lay them out in your very own book! Highlight mementos and photos as you create and decorate pages made from paper you make yourself, and bind your own book to relive your adventure again and again.

Jedi Engineering Using LEGO • Afternoon
The Force is strong in this camp. Build complex machines and structures based on the best designs from a galaxy far, far away, including LEGO X-Wings, AT-AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, settlements, and fortresses. Jedi instructors reinforce key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics,
eccentric motion and more. Campers tap into the powerful forces of imagination and engineering.

Food Truck Challenge • Morning
Additional materials fee of $30
Cook gourmet treats while working with friends to design the best menu for your food truck. Create healthy foods within the guidelines of unique cooking challenges. (Campers will not operate a real food truck.)

Live App Challenge • Morning
Watch your favorite games and apps come to life in this creative take on the world of technology. Build sets to demolish with life-sized angry birds, take a run through the temple, and produce arts and crafts directly from the pages of Pinterest.

Hip Hop Dance • Afternoon
If you enjoy the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance?” you’ll love creating exciting dance routines with your friends to perform for your family! Using a variety of Hip Hop music, props and dance moves will soon have you auditioning for the stage!

NEW! Mine, Craft, Build: Survival Game using LEGO • Afternoon
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, craft tools, and watch out for Creepers! Campers are going to have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO.

Ceramics and Mosaics • Morning
Learn techniques for sculpting clay and laying mosaics to make your own unique creations. Bring home your fired and glazed works of art.

Flag Football • Morning
Develop skills in one of the most exciting sports on turf! Every camper gets to work on their passing, receiving and teamwork while playing in non-competitive games each day.

Do It Yourself • Afternoon
Learn the tricks of the trade to make your own tasty treats, and create your own boutique favorites such as candles, soaps, and more.

NEW! Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms • Afternoon
Wouldn’t it be cool to build and program a robot? That’s just what you’ll do using the LEGO Mindstorms system! Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Control your robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, and play sounds.

Up-and-coming inventors are given a series of challenges to overcome using basic materials, simple machines, and tips from world famous inventors. Projects include inventing catapults, forts, a dancing robot, and a working light saber that you get to take home!

Field Trip Frenzy • 6/29 – 7/2 (no camp 7/3) $ 345 M / $ 390 P
An action packed week of adventures visiting a different Bay Area attraction each day. Destinations include Musee Mecanique/Pier 39, Yerba Buena Skating and Bowling, Berkeley Adventure Playground, and the Tech Museum. Hot lunch not available for this camp. Hot lunch not available for this camp.

Bring your creations to life as you write, direct, and film up to five of your own movies using stop-motion animated flix! Learn different styles of stopmotion, including the creation of your own Minecraft world out of paper.

Learn how to create your own virtual worlds! Beginning Game Developers work in pairs to conceive, design and build your own interactive video game.

Ride ‘em cowboys and cowgirls! Spend each day in the saddle leading a horse on a trail and in the ring. Learn what it takes to properly care for a horse, from putting on a saddle to nutrition and grooming.

Do you dream of having your own fashion designs come to life and modeled on the runway? This is your chance! Learn to sew clothing and beautiful accessories that will be red-carpet ready!

Farewell, summer! Close the summer with a bang when all camps, ages K – 6, combine to celebrate a week of keff (fun) at different locations each day. Sites include Bel Mateo Bowl, Chabot Space& Science Center, CuriOdessey at Coyote Point, Head Over Heels, and Childrens Creativity Museum. Hot lunch not available for this camp.

Keff Pop Stars • 7/27 – 8/7 • $860 M / $970 P
Learn to sing and dance today’s hottest hits just like on Glee, The Voice, and The Sing Off. Your coaches are the top-notch musical and theater professionals at Hillbarn Theatre. The two weeks culminate in a final performance, complete with a musical accompaniment, that will be sure to garner a standing ovation.

Sports Starz - The Ultimate Sports Camp! • 7/13 – 7/26 • $1695 M / $1895 P

This is it…the ultimate combination of a day and overnight sports camp experience for aspiring athletes who want to focus on skill development, teamwork, coordination, and
confidence through fun drills and games! Field trip included Overnight included Swimming included M = Member, P = Public

Spend your first week at Camp Keff with amazing coaches and counselors, and then for
the second week, continue the sports camp experience at JCC Maccabi Sports Camp. This is an immersive sports Jewish camp community.
Over the course of two weeks, youth athletes will sharpen fundamental skills by working with high-level coaches to strengthen specific skills that are essential to their sport of choice, while practicing Jewish values on and off the athletic field. Join us for the only sports camp that combines the comfort of a day camp and the immersive
experience of a residential camp, for a summer that future Olympians will never forget.
Boys and girls entering Grades 3 – 6 will love this amazing two-part camp experience.

Extended Care

Morning Care: 7:30 – 9:00 am

Breakfast, stories, arts and crafts, games, and playground time.
Monday – Friday • $75 M / P per week

Afternoon Care: 3:00 – 6:00 pm

Playground time, games, sports, free swim, arts and crafts, and an
afternoon snack at the end of the day.

Math Enrichment • Mondays & Tuesdays • 3:00 – 4:30 pm

Master mathematical principles through games and daily challenges. Build a strong foundation on which all higher level mathematics are based, increasing your confidence and success in future math classes.

Writing Enrichment • Mondays & Tuesdays • 3:00 – 4:30 pm

Write stories and poetry while developing confidence in your writing ability and style. Create characters, plots, and settings and ultimately completed works!

Nutritious Lunch

Only $6.00 per meal*

Save time every morning by having lunch prepared for your child
by our friends at Choice Lunch. Each day a hot vegetarian meal
will be individually packaged and delivered to your child.
*Must register for the whole session. Session price varies based on program
type and length.
