We know that a safe, adventurous summer camp experience has the power to be transformative for your child. For more than 60 years, campers have experienced amazing, memorable and extraordinary summers at PJCC camps.

Camp Keff is irresistibly engaging with a curriculum that sparks imaginiation. We love each of our campers and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow, learn, and play. Our experienced staff focus on character building and the self-esteem of each camper. Camp Keff campers learn new talents, self-discovery, and how to make good choices while making friends along the way.

Signature Camps

Two-week sessions 9:00 am - 3:00 pm


Exclusive to Camp Keff! Campers splash in the pool while learning swimming techniques in our award-winning swim program. They score during sports, create masterpieces in art, and experiment in science. Camp-wide Olympics and Shabbat Fairs are so unique that no two sessions are alike. Add field trips, giant inflatables, nature hikes, sleepovers (with s'mores of course), and your camper will see why Camp Keff means "FUN" in any lanquage!

Kindercamp -- Entering Kindergarten

  • Basic swim instruction two times a week
  • Special end of session Kindercamp-only party with a fun theme,
    a piñata and a guest entertainer each session including guest jugglers,
    magicians, live animals, and the ever popular bounce house.
  • One field trip per session
    Session 1: Fairyland
    Session 2: Oakland Zoo

    Session 4: Palo Alto Childrens Museum

Yomah—Grades 1 – 2

  • Basic swim instruction three times a week
  • One-night indoor sleepover at the PJCC with a fun theme
    and a special guest entertainer.

    Session 2: Parkside Aquatic Park
    Session 3: Playland Not at the Beach

Gymnastics • Morning
Somersault to Peninsula Gymnastics in San Mateo as campers learn to use the trampoline, balance beam, kids’ bars, vault, and more.

NEW! Cardboard Creations • Morning
Dive into a huge pile of cardboard and climb out with something amazing. Be inspired by Caine and his famous cardboard arcade or build a robot or an animal statue; the creations are endless in this larger than life eco-friendly green adventure.

Construction Vehicles using LEGO • Morning
Budding engineers will explore engineering concepts using big trucks, construction vehicles, and super machines. Explore the engineering terms, ideas, and vocabulary behind large-scale building machines. Build and learn about steamrollers, bulldozers, wrecking balls, tower cranes, and more while playing with your favorite building system, LEGO!

Adventures in Art • Afternoon
Grab your paintbrush and glitter and join us on an adventure all about art! Paint, draw, collage, and craft your way through the week.

NEW! Masters Of The Grill • Afternoon
Additional materials fee of $30
Master the skills of one of the greatest cooking tools, the grill. Learn to use the equipment properly and safely, while making amazing dishes using special marinades, rubs, smoking techniques, and how to get those perfect grill marks on your food.

Mad Science - Nature’s Anatomy Academy • Afternoon
Young biologists explore the natural world and the adaptations that allow birds and beasts to thrive. Have fun finding and magnifying nature’s smallest creatures, engineer animal habitats, pour plaster casts of animal tracks, make recycled paper, and build a water filter! Discover what owls eat and identify the bones they leave behind! Create your own blob of “Mad Mucus” and learn about cilia, cells and circulation!

Mixed Media • Morning
Create incredible sculptures, canvas and more using acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and colored pencils.

Karate Kids • Morning
Self-defense techniques and fun martial arts games will make you think that campers spent the week with Mr. Miagi!

Jedi Engineering using LEGO • Morning
Young Jedi explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right here on earth. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining LEGO X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and defense turrets.

Soccer • Afternoon
Children thrive with this non-competitive curriculum and positive coaching style in a pressure-free environment. Have fun while learning basic soccer skills and participating in age-appropriate games and exercises.

Keff Bakery • Afternoon
Additional materials fee of $30
Learn what it takes to master one of the finest culinary skills, baking. Junior chefs build the confidence they need to bake like the pros. This class covers everything from bagels, to baguettes, pate a choux to perfect pies, soufflés to sweet buns.

It’s All Experimental • Afternoon
Explore classic science experiments made famous by TV science wizards. Get messy and learn about the mysteries of the world using household items in a fun, safe, and experimental way.

Somersault over to Peninsula Gymnastics as campers learn basic skills using the trampoline, balance beam, kids’ bars, vault, and more.

Splish Splash • Morning
Between water balloons, swimming in our beautiful pool, and Slip N’ Slide, campers will definitely get wet while having wacky water fun!

Mine, Craft, Build: Adventure Game using LEGO • Morning
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This camp is perfect, even if
you don’t have any previous experience with Minecraft or LEGO.

Music & Movement • Afternoon
Discover your musical talents through singing, rhythmic instruments, and fun props—and develop an appreciation for music!

Kid Foodies • Afternoon
Additional materials fee of $30
Aspiring chefs learn the basic science & proper cooking methods that make all cooking a breeze, from quick meals to healthy delicious snacks that are sure to please.

Treasure Hunters • Afternoon
Explore distant lands, hunt for treasure, create important nautical supplies, and learn pirate lore!

Choose from a massive selection of hot colors, textures and unique beads and learn techniques to make one-of-a-kind pieces!

NEW! Robotics with LEGO We Do • Morning
Wouldn’t it be cool to build and program a robot? That’s what you’ll learn in this introductory Robotics class using the LEGO We Do system. Learn basic programming skills, simple engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Work in small groups to complete several projects using tilt and motion sensors.

Take Flight • Morning
Learn and experiment with flying machines, air rockets, sling shot gliders, balloon propulsion, and a variety of other aircraft designs.

Learn about different animals and their habitats, from mammals that roam the land to birds that take to the skies. Includes a safari field trip to the SF Zoo!

Goal or touchdown? You’ll do both in this exciting week that combines soccer and football! Learn the basics of these two popular field sports and kick your way to an awesome week of fun. Perfect for all skill levels and taught in a non-competitive environment.

Defy gravity and reach new heights in this camp that will have you soaring through the air with trampolines, inflatables and bouncy house fun. Includes a field trip to Sky High!

Learn about physics as you make your own cars, boats, planes and more, and race your creations with your friends. Includes a trip to Ride the Ducks in SF to see a real amphibious truck in action!

In this camp, we want you to act out! Led by the amazing staff from the Hillbarn Theatre. Campers build confidence as they build sets, design costumes, and bring their characters to life in a performance for the whole camp at the end of the week.

NEW! Mad Science - Jet Cadets • 7/13 – 7/17 • $430 M / $485 P
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s...everything from the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights. Learn about aerodynamics and the world above us. Explore the basic principles of flight, build airplanes, test them in wind tunnels, ride a hovercraft, construct balloon copters, and move at light speed in this high velocity week of discovery!

Field Trip Frenzy • 7/27 – 7/31 • $430 M / $485 P
Enjoy an action-packed week of awesome adventures visiting a different Bay Area attraction each day. Destinations include Aquarium of the Bay, Pacific Pinball Museum, Happy Hollow, Exploratorium, and the Lawrence Hall of Science. Hot lunch not available for this camp.

Shalom (Goodbye) Session • Grades K – 6 • 8/10 - 8/14

Farewell, summer! Close the summer with a bang when all camps, ages K – 6, combine to celebrate a week of keff (fun) at different locations each day. Sites include Bel Mateo Bowl, Chabot Space& Science Center, CuriOdessey at Coyote Point, Head Over Heels,
and the Childrens Creativity Museum.

NEW! Mad Science Reactions In Action • Grades K – 6
8/17 – 8/21 • $430 M / $485 P
Eggs that don’t break? Ice that doesn’t melt? Time that freezes? Dive into the fascinating world of science in this crazy week of non-stop action and reaction! When camp is over the fun continues at home with gadgets you created.

TWO WEEK Sessions • 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Keff Sports • 7/27 – 8/7 • $860 M / $970 P
Swing, kick, shoot, score! This camp is perfect for sports fanatics! Build coordination, strength, and confidence through fun drills and games. Learn the fundamentals of various sports and the importance of what it means to be part of a team. This camp
wraps up with a field trip to World Cup Indoor Soccer.

Extended Care

Morning Care: 7:30 – 9:00 am

Breakfast, stories, arts and crafts, games, and playground time.
Monday – Friday • $75 M / P per week

Afternoon Care: 3:00 – 6:00 pm

Playground time, games, sports, free swim, arts and crafts, and an
afternoon snack at the end of the day.
Monday – Friday • $150 M / P per week

After Camp Clubs

After Camp Art • Mondays & Wednesdays • 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Create stunning works of art using a variety of mediums.
Two week sessions only: $65 M / P per session
(4 classes per session)

Aqua Kids • Tuesdays & Thursdays
3:00 – 4:30 pm (Includes one hour of basic swim instruction
plus time to change)
Develop new swimming skills, improve strokes, and enjoy
splash time in our heated pool.
Two-week sessions only: $80 M / P per session
(4 classes per session)

Nutritious Lunch – Only $6.00 per meal*

Save time every morning by having our friends at Choice Lunch
prepare a delicious vegetarian meal for your child. Each day lunch
will be individually packaged and directly delivered.
*Must register for the whole session. Session price varies based on program
type and length.
