Meet the Camp Keff Staff: PJCC Summer Camps
Preschool Camp Director
Lisa is the year-round Program Coordinator for the PJCC Preschool and has worked as the Director of preschool winter, spring and summer camps for the past seven years. Lisa has worked for the PJCC since 1996 as a teacher, preschool camps Program Director and preschool administrator. In 2008, Lisa was the recipient of a Helen Diller Family Award for Excellence in Jewish Education for her outstanding work in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is committed to making the PJCC Preschool Camps a fun and educational environment for children ages two to four years old..
Preschool Program Assistant
Melanie graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in International Relations. She loves the beach, the water, spending time with friends and family and last lived in Hawaii before joining our team. She is passionate about being a positive influence in our youth and always striving to leave others with a warm smile.
Ian has been the Director of Camp Keff since 2010. Before being in the Bay Area he was the Site Director at High Trails Outdoor Science School in Big Bear, CA and has many years of experience working with children in day and residential camp settings at Camp Chi (Chicago JCC) and Young Judea camps. He graduated from Southern Illinois with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Management. Ian is passionate about teaching children about the environment and about creating opportunities for children to explore and try new things.
Assistant Camp Director
Erik has been in the camping industry since he graduated CSU Chico with a degree in Community and Commercial Recreation. Before the PJCC, Erik worked with several camps within the YMCA. Erik has a passion for leading and coordinating youth programs in recreational settings. When not at work, he can be found at his home in Foster City or volunteering for other community events.
Youth & Family Programs Coordinator
Adriana has worked at Camp Keff for multiple summers and is now the Youth and Family Programs Coordinator at the PJCC. She has a degree in Cultural Anthropology from UC Davis and loves to travel—she used to live in Italy! Adriana is always playing sports (especially soccer) and is a life-long SF Giants and 49ers fan. When Adriana has free time, you can find her in the kitchen cooking and baking or having a blast at Disneyland! She can’t wait to share her creativity with all the Camp kids!
Youth Programs Manager
Nicole is the Youth Programs Manager and has been working at the PJCC for the past five years with the Youth and Family and Sports and Recreation departments. Nicole received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently working on her Master’s in Public Administration at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. Nicole has a long-standing relationship with the PJCC. She attended and graduated from the PJCC preschool and Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, and also worked as part of the 2003 and 2004 camp team before returning full-time in 2008. Nicole started the Treehouse @ the J after school program in 2010 and is proud to have watched the program grow from 24 kids to our current 93. She feels very lucky to be able to work with all of the families in our community and is excited to continue to generate programs and services for people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds as part of the PJCC family.
Youth & Family Program Assistant
After completing high school in Redwood City, Nick dabbled in many professions, which include occupations in the USA military, a firefighter, an emergency medical technician and now a program assistant. Before settling down here at the PJCC, Nick attended Menlo Business College in Atherton.
