Our Camp Philosophy
Camp should be a safe, fun and transformative experience for children and families. We are an inclusive Jewish community that celebrates the strength of diversity—a community where people of all backgrounds can grow, learn and deepen their connections to one another. Campers will spend fun-filled days enjoying new experiences, making new friends and creating memories through our stimulating and inspired activities.
Preschool Camp: Ages 2 – 5
Full and half-day preschool options available!
Our experienced, nurturing and caring staff of early childhood professionals is eager to welcome your child to Winter Camp! Our theme for Week 1 is Nature Explorers—children will explore the environment and the natural world around them by experiencing and participating in cooking, science and art activities. For the second week our theme is Making New Friends—younger campers will participate in activities with older campers, including a scavenger hunt and “Noon Years Eve” party on the 31st!
Campers will enjoy music and movement, bounce in the jump house and play on our developmental playground. From listening to stories in Joshua’s Corner, the ECE library, to enjoying special days like Pajama Day, your little ones will be captivated through fun and interactive educational experiences. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and memorable winter camp experience for your preschooler. Extended care available!
General Winter Camp: Grades K-5
Grade K – 5 campers will splash, travel and explore in our Winter Camp program! Our diverse mix of weekly fun includes field trips, indoor free swim and age-appropriate nature, sports, art and music activities. All programs are guided by the outstanding staff of the award-winning PJCC summer camp.
Our theme for Week 1 is l’Ovdah ul’Shomrah, or Caring for the Earth. We will learn about the diversity of animals and plants in the Bay Area, participate in gardening projects and create art using recycled and repurposed materials. During Week 2, we will explore the theme of Kehillah, or Community, through group art projects and explorations of food and games from different cultures. We will also create a community-wide “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration, along with the preschool campers, to end the week with a party! Extended care available!
