Toddlers through Pre-kindergartners

The PJCC Preschool offers a creative, values-oriented, educational environment that is open to the entire community. The preschool staff is an experienced group of dedicated early childhood professions who combine a strong educational background with a love and appreciation for young children. They respect each child, supporting their personal growth and development as an individual and as a member of the social group. Our specialists in music and physical education greatly enrich the program. Under the nurturing care of early childhood professionals, children enjoy:

Philosophy

The PJCC Preschool offers children a head start in succeeding academically and socially. Open to children ages one through five of all faiths and backgrounds, they will enjoy a curriculum that cultivates positive childhood experiences through social, cognitive and physical development. They also learn about values, including tolerance, kindness, sharing and respect.

Recognizing that young children develop at their own rate, our preschoolers engage in individualized activities that challenge and stimulate learning in a warm and secure environment.

• Social Development includes building self-esteem, social interaction, self-control, conflict resolution skills, self-help skills, Jewish cultural understanding and appreciation of diversity.
• Cognitive Development includes early literacy, phonics, science exploration, music, numbering, speech and language development, creative arts and crafts, and kindergarten readiness.
• Physical Development includes motor development, personal hygiene, nutrition, safety, sports readiness, music and movement.

PJCC Preschool

Let the PJCC Preschool meet your personal needs with a customized full-time, part-time or extended program, available from as little as three hours to 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Specialists in music and physical education enrich the program each week.

Specialty/Enrichment Programs

A variety of specialty programs are available for children ages 1 month through 5 years old. Playgroups for toddlers meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays with parent participation. Music Together meets for 45 minutes weekly for 10-week sessions.

Enrichment Programs for three through five-year-olds offer special interest afternoon classes that meet weekly during the school year. The three 10-week sessions introduce children to fun and interesting subjects such as cooking, soccer, basketball, art, science and drama.
