Preschool Parent Workshops & Activities
When your child joins the PJCC Preschool, we welcome and support the entire family! Monthly parent meetings provide a forum to meet with and plan community events with the Preschool Directors. An informative Parent Education Workshop Series is facilitated by a consultant from Parents Place. We also offer Jewish holiday events and discussion groups.
Parent Education Workshops
Join the parent community in an exciting series of workshops led by specialist from Parents Place. Some are morning drop-in discussion groups and other workshops meet in the evenings. Topics may include Positive Discipline, Understanding Your Child’s Temperament, Exploring Kindergarten Options, Effective Communication Strategies with Young Children, The Art of Fathering, Bye Bye Diapers, Healthy Eating Habits for Children, Being and Making Friends: Supporting Your Child's Social Development, and Smooth Transitions to Kindergarten.
Baby Sign Language Introductory Workshop
For parents of babies ages 0 to 24 months. Introduce yourself to 40 basic signs that are based on American Sign Language and learn how to teach your pre-verbal baby to sign. Fun activities and songs will show you how easy it can be to integrate simple signs in your everyday routine to jump-start your baby's verbal skills. Instructor: Erika is an instructor for Touch Blue Sky's baby sign language program

Parent Education Workshop
Join us for monthly parent education workshops on a variety of topics for parents of pre-school and school age children. Topics throughout the year include 'Making Homework Manageable', 'Sibling Rivalry' and 'Parenting as a Team'. All workshops are free and open to everyone. Pre-registration required. Childcare may be arranged through J Care.
