Grades PreK - 5

Explore the kid-friendly community at the PJCC and discover why we are a great place for kids of all ages to grow, learn, and deepen their connections to one another. Take a class, join a team, or attend a fun event!

Enrichment Classes

We have classes for kids from age 1 month to 10 years. Soccer, cooking, gymnastics, LEGOs, basketball, art, music, and so many more!


Important Registration Information for PJCC Youth Enrichments:

In an effort to allow Center members the opportunity to participate in a variety of youth classes, please take note of our registration policy. Center Members will have the option to enroll in three free youth classes during the first week of youth class registration.  Center Members will be automatically removed from the last free class registered for, over the initial three class allotment, during the first week of registration. After the first week of registration, and as space allows, Center Members will be able to register for additional free classes.

Chess: Grades K - 5

Chess offers a fun and intellectually-challenging chess education experience designed for all levels of young chess players. No previous experience of chess is required. Students will learn the fundamentals of chess, tactics and strategies. Children must be in grades K-5. Registration required. Crazy Engineering: Grades 1 - 3

Become a civil engineer in this introductory class! When civil engineers design bridges, they must take into account factors like balance and motion. This class will introduce the principles behind bridge design through fun stories and activities. Children will reinforce their understanding of 'push' and 'pull' as they explore how forces act on different structures. They'll use what they know about balance and force as they experiment with beam, arch, and suspension bridges-and learn how bridge designs counteract and redirect forces and motion. In the final design challenge, students plan, build, and test their own bridges. Children must be in grades 1 - 3. Registration Required. Instructor: PJCC Staff.

Create, Mix, Mingle & Paint Workshop for Kids

Create your own masterpiece painting! In this special workshop, an art instructor will guide you step by step to create a mixed media painting using different methods of art. You will leave with a one-of-a-kind work of art that you'll be proud to display in your home! Instructor: Create Mix & Mingle Staff Registration Required.

Intermediate Coding 101 for Kids: Grades 3-5

Refine coding skills in this intermediate coding class. Children will continue to learn and develop fundamental programming concepts including creating animations and interactive projects.Children must have previous coding experience. Kids Night Out!: Age 3 - Grade 5

Calling all moms and dads... take the night off and send your kids to join their friends! In these exciting theme-filled evenings, children will enjoy games, dinner, dessert, a movie and more! Registering two or more kids? Receive a sibling discount by calling the Welcome Center at 650.378.2703. Register in advance and save! Fees increase at noon on the Friday prior to each program. Registration required.

Kids Run the PJCC (Running Club): Grades 1-5

Have fun while staying fit! In this class, you'll learn the basics of running through engaging drills and activities. Whether this is your first time running or you are a pro, come join us for our exciting kids running club! Children must be in grades 2-5 to register. Registration required. Instructor: PJCC Staff

Delve into the world of forensic science in this hands-on class! Children will learn how to dust for and classify fingerprints, decode secret messages, search for clues, and so much more! Explore the fascinating world of solving mysteries and develop important observation and reasoning skills! Children must be in grades K-2. Registration required.

The World of Teva (Nature)

Explore the environment in this hands-on introductory class all about teva (Hebrew for 'nature'). Children will learn about current environmental issues, their responsibility in protecting the environment, and more through exciting activities and demonstrations. Registration Required

Youth Soccer

Children thrive with this non-competitive curriculum and positive coaching style in a pressure-free environment. Have fun while learning soccer basics such as kicking, dribbling, shooting, heading and goalkeeping while participating in age-appropriate games and exercises designed specifically for your child! Instructor: Blacktop Sports Registration Required.
