Beginning Gymnastics: Grades K - 2
Introduce yourself to the world of gymnastics! Beginning gymnasts will learn basic skills using the trampoline, balance beam, kids' bars and more. A fun and educational co-ed soccer class emphasizing individual and team soccer skills such as kicking, dribbling, shooting and heading. Chess tournaments are a great way for chess players to make new friends while learning how to concentrate and perform in a competitive environment, making tournament experiences valuable. Both new and experienced players will be able to have fun, play good chess in a friendly setting, and win trophies and prizes. Tournaments are usually Swiss style, which means everyone gets to play each round, regardless of their win/loss record. First time tournament players are welcome! Registration required.
Chess Wizards offers a fun and intellectually-challenging chess education experience designed for all levels of young chess players. No previous experience of chess is required. Students will learn the fundamentals of chess, tactics and strategies. Children must be in grades K - 8. Registration required. Create, Mix, Mingle & Paint Workshop for Kids
Create your own masterpiece painting! In this special workshop, an art instructor will guide you step by step to create a mixed media painting using different methods of art. You will leave with a one-of-a-kind work of art that you'll be proud to display in your home! Participants must be in grades 1-5. Instructor: Create Mix & Mingle Staff Registration Required.
Garden Growers: Grades K - 5
Let your green thumbs shine in this hands-on gardening class. Kids will plant, cultivate and harvest a variety of fresh produce in the PJCC's Justice Garden, which will be donated to families through our partners at InnVision Shelter Network. Principles of Tikun Olam (repairing the world) and nutrition will be discussed as children learn about plant lifecycles and practice their gardening skills. In addition, children will take home a plant of their own to care using the knowledge they gained throughout the session. Children must be in grades K - 5. Hip Hop Dance

Let's Get Creative - Creative Writing: Grades 2-5
Students will write 3-5 paragraph essays based on age and skill levels. Students will learn how to brainstorm, outline, draft and publish essays. The fundamentals of grammar and essay structures are covered in combination with the use of creativity. Children's progress will be monitored and updates will be sent to parents/guardians. Math Madness: Problem Solving Skills and Strategy
Get ahead as students learn how to solve word problems effectively. Problem solving can be challenging for students. Paint Your Own Skateboard with Create Mix & Mingle
Calling all budding artists and skateboard shredders! Here's your chance to explore the world of pop and graffiti art by designing, sketching, drawing and painting under the direction of a professional artist and fellow skateboarder. Yoga Education for Autism Spectrum
This group yoga session is designed specifically for children with developmental and learning challenges including; Autism, ADD, Sensory Integration Disorder and Anxiety. Yoga helps children quiet their mind and minimize distractions - thus promoting focus and mindfulness. Children will also learn to use breathing techniques to self-regulate when they are feeling anxious. Additional benefits include; improvement in children's social skills, physical strength and body awareness. Children will be divided into one of two classes, 45 minutes in length.
