Swim Lessons | 13 to Adult | PJCC
Award winning swimming lessons are offered at the PJCC including group lessons, private lessons and semi-private lessons for all ages.
Adult Swim Clinic
The PJCC Adult Masters Swim Clinic is a motivating great way for adults to stay in shape and improve their technical swimming skills! The program offers workouts and skill development for both beginners and advanced swimmers. The coaching will provide you with a progressively structured workout (including stroke drills) to help you achieve your personal goals to increase learning and developing all four competitive strokes; Butterfly, Back, Breast, and Freestyle. If open water training is part of your goals, the Triathlon coaching will assist meeting those needs and if competition is your goal, you can accomplish this also with the comradery within a team of swimmers. JUST KEEP SWIMMING!!!
Aquatic Kundalini Yoga
This class is for people who love the water and yoga, whether they have experience with either. Aquatic Kundalini Yoga integrates the healing potential of a clean warm water and five thousand year old practice of Kundalini Yoga. In these personalized, small group classes, our professional instructor will use water as a source of healing and strength to enhance balance and breathing.
This class will provide you with the certifications for lifeguarding, first aid, CPR, and AED. You will learn how to recognize and respond to emergencies, both in and out of the water. This is an American Red Cross certified class.
Requirements: You must be at least 15 years of age to participate in this class. You must be able to swim 300 yards continuously of combined breaststroke and freestyle, and also dive down 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
Swim Lessons - Adult Beginner/ Intermediate
For beginner swimmers who wish to improve their swimming skills. Swimmers will learn to: Develop a high comfort level in and especially under the water. Master a prone float, swim a short distance in a relaxed state and to return to a standing position unassisted. Develop a relaxed back position. Master the ability to prone float, turn over to back float, then return to prone float position. Intermediate skills can be taught to swimmers that have progressed through the beginner level skills.
