Yoga & Wholeness
WITH A JEWISH TWIST
Experience the groundedness of a gentle Iyengar-based yoga series informed
with qualities that are needed in life (and in yoga) for openness, balance and
wholeness in the introductory workshop. We will focus on a unique quality to
enhance our asana practice as we learn mystical teachings about connecting all
levels of being - mind, body, heart, and spirit. No previous yoga experience
necessary.

Want to know what a 'shofar' is? Or if Jews believe in the zodiac? Come have lunch with our very own Rabbi Lavey Derby and ask him all the questions you ever had about Jews and Judaism. Bring a dairy brown bag lunch and your questions and enjoy an entertaining and informative lunchtime discussion.

Rabbis Roundtable:The Story of Jonah
Read on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), the much-beloved Book of Jonah tells the story of a recalcitrant prophet who must learn lessons of forgiveness and compassion. Four senior spiritual leaders of the North Peninsula will engage in a discussion moderated by Rabbi Lavey Derby on the meaning and relevance of this well-known Biblical story. In the course of the conversation they will share their personal beliefs about God, human nature and the power of forgiveness. Reservations recommended.
Participants will include Rabbi Dennis Eisner of Peninsula Temple Beth El, Rabbi Nat Ezray of Congregation Beth Jacob, Rabbi Daniel Feder of Peninsula Temple Sholom and Rabbi Corey Helfand of Peninsula Sinai Congregation.
