Photography of early Tel Aviv, 1905-1935 with Guy Raz

Avraham Soskin (1881-1963) was known as the 'Tel Aviv Photographer'. From the moment he got off the boat from White Russia in 1904 he began documenting the Land of Israel through a camera's lens. From his remarkable shot of the lottery of plots at Ahuzat Bayit in 1909 to the countless buildings, avenues, commercial events, beachfront views and entertainment centers, Avraham Soskin & his colleagues relentlessly documented the story of Tel Aviv. Join curator Guy Raz for a photographic journey through the Yishuv.
