PJCC Holidays & Celebrations
In partnership with local Jewish organizations and synagogues, the PJCC holds family-friendly events celebrating Jewish holidays. Some of our most popular cultural events include:
Shabbat
Each Friday we celebrate Shabbat at 3:00 pm in the PJCC lobby. All are welcome to attend.
Lag B'Omer Swimming and S'mores Party
Take a break from your everyday life and join us for our Lag B'Omer pool party and bonfire! Activities for the whole family include a delicious hot dog dinner, bonfire with s'mores and a sing-a-long, crafts, games, swimming and even haircuts for the kids. We'll conclude our evening with a fabulous fire juggling show! Lag B'Omer is the 33rd Day of the Omer period between Passover and Shavuot, and is a day devoted to outdoor fun and revelry. This event is co-sponsored by Peninsula JCC and Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School.

Love Makes a Family: A Tu B'Av Family Festival
Celebrate the ancient Jewish holiday of Tu B'Av with a love-filled afternoon of music, chocolate-making and Israeli dancing! Have your family portrait taken and celebrate the harvest by bottling your own grape juice. Families will also have the opporutnity to help share their love with local families in need through a special community service project. End the afternoon with a fantastic family concert with internationally renowned musician Gary Lapow. Tu B'Av is the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av and is celebrated in modern times as a festival full of music, dancing, chocolate and wine. Shabbat'n'Swim
Bring the whole family and join us for a summertime swimming and Shabbat celebration! Connect with old and new friends while you enjoy our beautiful outdoor pool, Shabbat craft projects, a scavenger hunt and lawn games. The evening will include a delicious pizza dinner and a rockin' Shabbat sing-a-long! Shavuot Family Farm!
Celebrate the harvest and fresh local foods at our Shavuot Family Farm. Enjoy delicious blintzes, honey tasting, making your own cheese, and sampling fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Create your own 10 commandments on this holiday that celebrates both the harvest and the Torah.
