"What's Wrong With This Picture?"

A staged reading in memory of Roy Howard By Pulitzer Prize Winning playwright Donald Margulies When Shirley Goldstein chokes on the moo shu pork at a Brooklyn Chinese restaurant, she leaves behind a grieving husband and angry teenage son. Shirley then returns from beyond the grave, giving her family 'one more day' together and the chance to make peace with a seemingly senseless turn of events. This special Father's Day staged reading is directed by Roy Howard's son, Daniel, and produced with love by the Howard family. Presented as part of the Cultural Arts Life Cycle Season. Avedis Chamber Music Concert

This concert at the Legion of Honor features renowmed pianist Jon Nakamatsu along with the Stanford Woodwind Quintet. On the program is music by Muczynski, Mozart, Beethoven and Jongen. Price includes transportation, concert and museum admission. There will be time for a no-host lunch in the museum café.Home pick-ups $10/location.

Berry-Picking in Pescadero

Experience the great outdoors as we go berry-picking at Phipps Country Store and Farm in Pescadero. Depending on the weather, there should be strawberries, boysenberries and olallieberries ripe and ready for picking. Hosted lunch is at Cascade Bar and Grille at Costanoa Coastal Lodge. All berries are $2.50 per pound and price is not included in the trip. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for picking. No home pick-ups.

Bodega Bay for the Day

Marvel at nature's beauty as we travel in our 45-passenger bus up Highway 1. We will visit the Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory, enjoy a hosted lunch at the Inn at the Tides Restaurant, and explore the Audobon Canyon Ranch, including a guided nature walk at Bouverie Preserve.

This trip is co-sponsored by the Foster City Senior Wing.

We will board the bus at the Foster City Recreation Center on Shell Blvd. Pick-ups at other locations are available if needed. No home pick-ups for this trip.

Chihuly at the de Young

This is the first major exhibition of the work of Dale Chihuly, the most famous and influential artist working in glass today, in a San Francisco museum. The exhibition features site-specific installations complemented by new and archival works that illustrate Chihuly's contributions to contemporary art. Docent-led tour is included. No-host lunch at museum café. Home pick-ups $10/location. Museum members may deduct $12 from trip price.

Contemporary Jewish Museum

This is your chance to visit the new Daniel Libeskind-designed facility in the heart of downtown San Francisco's Yerba Buena cultural district. We will be offering two identical trips on different days. Each trip will include a docent-led tour of the museum's opening exhibition 'In the Beginning: Artists Respond to Genesis,' which examines the contemporary relevance of Jewish texts from a variety of artistic, cultural and literary perspectives. Also being shown is 'From the New Yorker to Shrek: The Art of William Steig.' No-host lunch at the museum café or at a neighborhood restaurant. Home pick-ups $10/location.

Eight Twenty Eight

Eight Twenty Eight is a personal look at the Israeli kibbutz. Filmmaker Lavi Ben Gal returns to the kibbutz where he grew up because he needs to decide, at the age of 28, whether to remain a member or leave. Hie finds that his kibbutz has changed dramatically since he lived there. Following the film, Ilan Vitemberg, an Israeli currently living and working in San Francisco, who was born and raised on a kibbutz, will talk about his experiences and discuss the evolution of the kibbutz. This free program is in honor of Israel's 60th anniversary and is supported by the Koret Foundation.

Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Are you prepared for a disaster? In case of a major emergency emergency personnel will be overloaded, and each person should be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least seven days. The Center for Independence of the Disabled (CID) is providing a presentationn to our older adult and disabled community; including free emergency kits and a comprehensive Emergency Preparedness packet that will instruct you in how to prepare for disaster, what to have on hand, and how to set up a support network should disaster occur. Also included are valuable forms to keep track of your medications, financial records, and other important information.

For Your Eyes Only: Art in Marin

This special event features tours of two outstanding private art collections, one in Mill Valley and the other in Sausalito. Price includes a delicious lunch and transportation on the PJCC bus. This is a fundraiser to benefit Older Adult programs and services. Participants must be able to climb stairs.

Israel on the Bay

An event of the Jewish Cultural Collaboration (partially supported by generous grants from the Walter and Elise Haas Foundation and the Koret Foundation). Don't miss an unforgettable evening of Israeli music, dinner and dancing in Celebration of Israel's 60th! Join friends from all over the Bay onboard the Royal Prince Ferry for a rockin' & rollin' night. Price includes kosher-style dinner, cruise, entertainment and first drink.

If you enjoy exploring museums, and diverse neighborhoods these trips will appeal to you. Staff escort will not be provided unless indicated. All museum admissions are free. The Drowsy Chaperone

Best of Broadway presents THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, the musical comedy that won the most 2006 Tony Awards of any musical on Broadway. It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called 'The Drowsy Chaperone,' and the show magically bursts to life.
