The PJCC offers older adults transportation to appointments, such as medical, dental, shopping, hair dressing, banking, etc. It also provides opportunities for older adults to participate in engaging programs and activities with others.

A Morning of Mah Jongg

Come enjoy a morning of Mah Jongg at the PJCC. No instructor will be present, therefore players should be able to play at the beginning to intermediate level. Bring your current Mah Jongg card. Pre-registration is suggested. Call 650.378.2717 with questions.

An Evening of Mah Jongg

Announcing a new drop-in time for American style Mah Jongg play. Bring your current Mah Jongg card and set. Players must arrange to make sure there is one set per table. Pre-registration is suggested. No instructor will be present.

Meet for lively discussions about topical events, led on alternate weeks by David Nigel and Jon Levinson. All opinions are welcome, creating a forum for stimulating and thought-provoking conversations. This is a drop-in group. No registration required.

Men's Evening Discussion Group

A place for men of all ages and backgrounds to meet and discuss the challenges facing them, their fathers and their sons, in this rapidly changing world we live in. Topics will include, but are not limited to, similarities and differences across the generations, men's changing roles in parenting, and social connectedness, but the list of interesting issues will undoubtedly grow. A discussion group for men, regardless of age or viewpoint. Share opinions and engage in lively debates in this intelligent forum facilitated by Marvin Goldman and Peter Klein. This is a drop-in group. No registration required.

Bring your knitting projects and join in conversation with other knitters. Knitters of all levels, as well as crocheters and embroiderers, are welcome. This is a drop-in group. No reservation required.

Women's Support Group

Most women know the value of support and understanding from other women. Be part of an on-going monthly women's discussion group to focus on sharing ideas, challenges and viewpoints particular to mature women in our society. Each month the group will decide on a topic for the next meeting. Some suggested topics: The value of women's friendships; Managing relationships with adult children; How to get along when living alone; Accepting life and health changes; Being in the 'sandwich generation.' Betty Burr of the PJCC staff will serve as facilitator/participant for the first meeting of every month. A group member will facilite the second meeting of every month.
