A transportation and activity program for
older adults who do not drive
The Get Up & Go program provides a way for those who don't drive to be more independent through our transportation services. It also provides opportunities for older adults to participate in engaging activities with others.
Willing to give a ride to someone in need? Volunteer to be a part of the Get Up and Go team! Talk to us about becoming a driver.
Take advantage of this low-cost shared ride transportation program Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week. Escorts are provided as needed. This service enables non-driving older adults to “Get Up & Go” to medical and dental appointments, or for errands such as food shopping. Personal or family caregivers may be transported free of charge.
In addition, if riders need a helping hand, volunteers are available to help with:
- Door-to-door Transportation
- Stepping on and off the bus
- Walking to destinations
- Handling some packages while shopping
Reservations are required no later than the Wednesday in the week prior to the date transportation is needed. Call 650.378.2750 for information.
