The PJCC offers an exciting fitness program specifically designed for sedentary older adults who exercise less than 60 minutes a week.

The PJCC is now offering appointments with HICAP counselors to discuss Medicare topics such as:

  • Understanding original Medicare, part A&B
  • Medigap & Medicare Advantage plans
  • Prescription Drug Plan / Medicare savings Programs
  • Employee Group Health coverage & Retiree Health Insurance
  • Medi-Cal / Long-term care insurance

Appointments available at the PJCC every Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30 am.

Transportation and activity program
for older adults

The PJCC offers older adults transportation to appointments, such as medical, dental, food shopping, etc. It also provides opportunities for older adults to participate in engaging programs and activities with others.

Aqua Fitness

Take your workout to the pool with this invigorating, non-impact class. Use water resistance to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance. Swimming experience is not necessary. Appropriate for all levels of fitness. Please see our indoor pool schedule to find a time that suits you best. See indoor pool schedule for times.

Get Up & Go: Georgia O'Keefe, A Life in Art

Art historian and artist Marlene Aron has delighted PJCC audiences with her informative and enthusiastic presentations about a number of great artists. For this look into the work and art of George O'Keefe, whose art was recently exhibited at the DeYoung Museum in San Franciscos, Marlene presents over 80 slides of the work of this American icon, along with fascinating facts about her life and philosophy. Registration Required.

Get Up & Go: Joy Perrin - One Woman Band

With singing, guitar, funny stories, digital rhythm (and a possible number by her singing pup, Prairie Sue!) Joy's musical program will include Classic Americana and a rich selection of American pop music from the swinging 1920s through the 50s. There will be songs you forgot to remember and a sprinkling of International flavor that has made its way into our popular music culture. Registration Required.

Get Up & Go: On the Road Again with Bing Crosby and Bob Hope

Join John Stanley, former columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, as he describes how the two entertainers were brought together for The Road Movies, and how each also succeeded separate from the other in movies, TV, and other parts of their careers. John will show excerpts from shows and movies, as well as providing information from his great store of knowledge about show business.

Get Up & Go: Peter Master - Name That Tune & Sing Along

Peter plays familiar and not so familiar songs from the golden age of 20th century musicals, films and songs popular on the LPs and 45s of our youth. You get a chance to name the tune and sing along with him on the piano. There will even be a prize for the person who makes the most correct guesses. Registration Required.

Get Up & Go: Richard Fey - A Classical Cabaret

Baritone Richard Fey and pianist Richard Helmer present a delightful mix of classical songs from opera and concert repertories. Richard Fey has sung with the San Francisco, New York City, Marin, and Pocket operas and has toured widely as a concert artist.
