The PJCC offers an exciting fitness program specifically designed for sedentary older adults who exercise less than 60 minutes a week.
FREE HEALTH INSURANCE COUNSELING & aDVOCACY (hicap)
The PJCC is now offering appointments with HICAP counselors to discuss Medicare topics such as:
- Understanding original Medicare, part A&B
- Medigap & Medicare Advantage plans
- Prescription Drug Plan / Medicare savings Programs
- Employee Group Health coverage & Retiree Health Insurance
- Medi-Cal / Long-term care insurance

The PJCC has a long tradition of service for older adults. We offer group outings, educational programs, social and volunteer opportunities and transportation.
Transportation and activity program
The PJCC offers older adults transportation to appointments, such as medical, dental, food shopping, etc.
It also provides opportunities for older adults to participate in engaging programs and activities with others.

Take your workout to the pool with this invigorating, non-impact class. Use water resistance to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance. Swimming experience is not necessary. Get Up & Go: Fred McCarty - Songs of Old & New
Solo guitarist, composer and vocalist, Fred McCarty has performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville twice - a privilege earned by being one of the best in his field. He has been a student of both classical and jazz guitar and graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music. His repetoire includes original songs, a blend of R&B and soft rock from your younger days, and new sounds you will enjoy - an exciting display of musical entertainment.
Get Up & Go: Protecting Yourself - Avoiding Scams
Have you received emails telling you that you won the lottery? Have you gotten a phone call from someone saying he is your grandson and he needs help because he's stuck in a foreign country? If so, someone has tried to scam you! These days scams are very common. Technology has made it easy to contact people quickly and cheaply and seniors have become big targets. Learn how to protect yourself from common scams and schemes at this important presentation by The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County. We will discuss a wide variety of financial scams and talk about ways to keep yourself and your money safe.

Wearing authentic costumes from the era, this versatile group of 10 Bay Area women perform songs from the turn of the century through the 1950s with an emphasis on the great old songs of the 40s. Even Rosie the Riveter shows up.
